Small dog treats will do
If you want to start training your puppy, we recommend using treats to motivate you. These should primarily be soft, easily digestible and small for puppies. This has the advantage of not having to stop training because your puppy is chewing on a large, hard snack for a long time. For example, if you want to practice walking, you can always reward him with the small, soft Puppy & Junior fit & vital snacks while he is walking.
Tip: Especially when training puppies, it has proven useful to reward the pup’s good or desired behavior directly with a puppy treat. On the other hand, you should ignore unwanted behavior if possible.
These treats are suitable for puppies from 6 weeks of age and for young dogs up to 18 months of age. Afterwards, when your four-legged friend is fully grown, you can treat him to our soft snacks for adult dogs or our meat snacks.
