NatureHolic Spirulina Tabs were designed by our specialists in the NatureHolic laboratory according to the latest scientific studies especially for shrimp, crayfish, crabs, aquarium snails and ornamental fish, and we have of course tested them extensively in our Mannheim XXL aquarium facility. NatureHolic’s Spirulina Tabs provide your invertebrates and ornamental fish in freshwater aquariums with a biologically valuable supplemental food that can assist them in growth, egg formation, coloration and reproduction.
A recent eleven-month study of reproduction and growth in Neocaridina davidi (Red Cherry) found that diets with the same fat and protein content had more positive effects on freshwater shrimp the more Spirulina content they contained. The more spirulina, the better and faster the shrimp grew , the earlier the females laid eggs and the shorter the reproductive pauses. The hatching rate of the eggs was also best in the food with the highest Spirulina content, and a much higher number of juveniles grew large – which speaks for a significantly better egg quality in the females.
However, Spirulina Tabs are not only a tasty source of protein for shrimps , they are also of great benefit to growth-eating ornamental fish such as catfish, but also crayfish, crabs and especially aquarium snails. Snails need animal and vegetable protein to make their protective protein coating on their shells stable and robust. Healthy, colorful, non-corroded shells in aquarium snails are the result of a good protein supply!
The algae Spirulina platensis is not only full of healthy proteins and vital substances such as the carotenoid astaxanthin, which is especially vital for aquarium invertebrates, it also tastes simply delicious to the animals – after all, what good is the best food if it is not eaten? With the Spirulina Tabs from NatureHolic you make an important contribution to the daily nutrition of your dwarf shrimps, crayfish, crabs, water snails and ornamental fish in the aquarium.
The NatureHolic Spirulina Tabs sink directly in the aquarium, and can be placed optimally. If you put them in the foreground, you can super observe the invertebrates and the fish while feeding.
The effect of Spirulina algae on the reproduction and egg quality of freshwater shrimp is of course particularly interesting for breeders, who can thus optimally support their valuable breeding animals.
Declaration according to the German Feed Regulation: Mixed feed for aquarium animals (pet invertebrates and ornamental fish)
