With the NatureHolic TDS/conductivity meter, you can determine the concentration of dissolved solids (TDS = Total Dissolved Solids) in ppm (parts per million) as well as the electrical conductivity, also known as the conductivity, in your aquarium water. In Germany and neighboring countries, conductivity measurement has become quite common in aquariums, while in the USA and overseas, TDS is frequently used. Conductivity is particularly relevant in aquariums for shrimp keeping, for example.

With the help of a TDS/conductivity meter, you can quickly see whether your water parameters are within the optimal range or whether you need to make adjustments – perfect for preventing algae growth and protecting fish and invertebrates. Determining the conductivity of fresh water is particularly important if you are remineralizing (or adding salts to) reverse osmosis water with a mineral salt for shrimp. Measuring the conductivity in an established aquarium tells you about the water quality and can indicate elevated nitrate levels and the need for a water change.

The SHIFT key allows you to effortlessly switch between the four display modes (ppm and °C, µS/cm and °C, ppm and °F, µS/cm and °F). The electrode system is made of a robust titanium alloy and guarantees reliable results with an accuracy of ± 2%. This allows you to reliably and quickly detect changes in conductivity or TDS value.
